White feminism is either on the verge of blowing up or is going to collapse under its own weight and I'm leaning toward the latter.

I agree with the latter, because of how ridiculous the perception is. And the recent street harassment video isn't making it any better either. See, the unfortunate problem with Feminism is that it doesn't cover all the bases it claims to cover. It claims to be a movement where they want equality for everyone through the perspective of a woman, but the movement only seems to be in the interests of women, white women at that. Most men aren't misogynists and we can all agree how women do deal with certain things we're lucky we don't have to deal with. It doesn't have anyone else's best interests at heart, because where were they during the Mike Brown protests or back during the summer when it was a nikka Hunt for police officers? The only time people care about something is when they feel a personal connection to it, and since white people never deal with it, they couldn't care less.

Which, in turn, makes outsiders look at their movement like :mjpls:because time and time again, it's been showed that Feminism does not have their best interest at heart. Like I've been saying, there's a reason why people don't really like Feminism as a whole. Ask any minority group how they feel on Feminism. And there-in lies the disconnect, and therefore, the reason why they keep taking Ls like Wale.

for real in the book?

They try to hide the later ones really hard.

Excerpts as follows, in case you haven't seen them.

Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn’t resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked."

-----

As she grew, I took to bribing her for her time and affection: one dollar in quarters if I could do her makeup like a “motorcycle chick.” Three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Whatever she wanted to watch on TV if she would just “relax on me.” Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl I was trying.

-----

I shared a bed with my sister, Grace, until I was seventeen years old. She was afraid to sleep alone and would begin asking me around 5:00 P.M. every day whether she could sleep with me. I put on a big show of saying no, taking pleasure in watching her beg and sulk, but eventually I always relented. Her sticky, muscly little body thrashed beside me every night as I read Anne Sexton, watched reruns of SNL, sometimes even as I slipped my hand into my underwear to figure some stuff out.

Mind-boggling pattern of sexual abuse here, and this is just the stuff she was willing to admit to in her book.

White women can't drop Lena cause that would mean they would have to acknowledge their own racial privilege. And we all know how privileged identities love to downplay their own privilege.

The irony is that these same white feminists could not wait to pile on Beyonce about her feminism but many of them are so far up their own behinds they don't have the decency to shame the molestation of a young girl. All because this smelly looking mess is their icon. In a way its good because it helps people see what Black and other WOC feminists have been saying about white feminists all along.

They don't like the idea of a black woman being the biggest icon of feminine power. Someone who's genuinely talented (Beyonce) for some reason has to take a back seat to a fat, spoiled turd like Lena Dunham.

This.

I checked out the Jezebel.article about her...many of the comments not defending her are appropriately tucked away in the "pending approval" section.

Well, the director of that clip was involved in many pro-gentrification programs so it's not too far of a stretch to think that at all.

The funny thing is they hate her on Jezebel. The jealousy is palpable.

In my experience the people who proudly identify with some cause usually aren't really about it. Actions speak louder than words and this broad is no damn feminist.

She's the perfect example of the modern feminist. They have the same opinions, control the platforms for opinion expression on the subject, and lead the movement in general now. If you don't see that, you're very stupid. In other words, par for the course with you.

Just cause Al Sharpton calls himself a black activist... doesnt make him a black activist. Even if he is the leader of some movement, or looked at as an authority on black activism. Hijacking a cause doesn't redefine the cause.

It absolutely changes the cause if the leaders, people shaping the ideas, and the most devoted followers are all acting and talking a certain way. A few people commenting online in disagreement isn't going to change facts.

So she was fukking around with her sister at 17?
The first time I heard about this that bit of information was conveniently left out.
I only read about the time she was 7 and thought to myself "this is blown out of proportion" but her molesting her sister at 17 is completely different.

Exactly. They are bending over backwards to protect a child molester. I can't stand it. She's just really rich trailer trash.

It goes way beyond that in my honest opinion, just stemming from my own personal observations of (white) feminist blogs and the bloggers behind them on tumblr.

Deep down inside, they see someone like Beyonce...who's not only talented, but in shape, and gorgeous and millions of men want to be with her...and millions of women want to be her...but they can't. That burns their souls. That's why they take thousands of selfies just to gain validation from strangers just too boost their own egos.

I've seen pictures of these bloggers...they are mediocre. Out of shape. Unattractive...with really no personality. I think they latch on to the feminist label mainly because they just want a reason to feel like they "stand out" or are somehow "better" than people like Beyonce. It's really that white privilege coming out of the woodwork in situations like that. They'd rather side with someone like Dunham cause like her, they are mediocre. They can relate to her...they can't relate to Beyonce. She's the embodiment of everything they've ever wanted to be and failed miserably being. They just want excuses and reasons to place themselves above someone like Beyonce and others...even though they know that they aren't even 1/18th as good as her.

It's also that "participation prize" generational thing...they don't want to put in any work...they see themselves as better just cause they're white. The same utterly frustrating paradox that sees black men who are twice as qualified and hard working for a job position not even being considered next to a white man doesn't even have the same work ethic, qualifications, or drive just cause.
