Things is that Rob and Fab didn't really have careers. They were picked because they looked a certain way, got paid to lip sync and got tons of puss out of it also. But after a while they started feeling like they could "sing" on their own so ther produced beat them to the punch and outed them. It was a lame ass move because he sacrificed them when the backlash came. Maybe they woulda been aight if they didn't win the Grammy but once that shyt happened they were finished. If there was auto tune back then them dudes woulda been aight but they literally just lips synced all of their performances.

I had no ideal they were planning on leaving and using their own vocals before their exposal. I know they had that one performance where they were singing live, and the song started skipping and that's how they were outed...

They wanted to prove that they could "sing" on their own and they kept fukking up at shows because of technical glitches and shyt like that. But they were being pressured to just keep doing what they were told because they signed them contracts. And that meant touring, appearances, etc. I guess it got to the point where they were always paranoid that they would get found out. The Grammys put them on a bigger stage so it was a matter of time before shyt popped off.

Despite this, them dudes just didn't have the talent that you heard on their first album so it wouldn't have mattered if they released their own shyt. After all the Grammy stuff blew over they "proved" they could sing but it was a damn mess. They recorded a new album and it was a mess. The group broke up, Fab did his own music shyt and Rob got heavy on drugs and OD'd. Dude was carrying that embarrassment (after being exposed) around and couldn't deal with it.

Farina was just the producer who got the real singers together and then found Rob and Fab. The real singers were much older and brought in better looking dudes on some C&C Music Factory shyt. With that said, I feel like the Milli Vanilli Behind The Music did a good job covering their story. It's worth watching.

He tried to kill himself a couple of times but when he did die it was because of an accidental overdose. Dude had issue after him and the other dude released their "comeback" album and it was a flop. They thought they had a chance to clear their name and no one gave a shyt.
