Obviously the social landscape has changed over the years and I'm fine with disrespectful language being discouraged but there should be more room for nuance in regards to contextualizing past use of words as well as respect for those no longer with us. There was plenty of time to try and cancel X while he was alive and the people mounting this effort to disparage him should be ashamed of themselves for not properly framing their opinions and for trying to capitalize on his death. I'm not sure why nuance was to be expected from people tweeting though
