And yes Willie’s on the song but Face is the star and the name. Plus it was a VERY long, multi artist performance celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop. Every artist who performed literally got to do only one verse of a famous song and that was it. Face did HIS verse from Mind Playin Tricks and that was it.


Now if i’m Face. I probably could’ve countered and said i’m only doing a verse from a solo joint, not a group joint. But if thats MY verse that I wrote and the Ghetto Boys haven’t performed together in years then fukk it, i’ll do it. I kinda feel Willie but he could have let it go. To say he was wrong for not being cool with it, is being disingenuous. He had a right to not be cool with it but he should have not overreacted the way he did.

To be fair Willie said what really got him was Face didn’t tell him he was even performing which made it look like a snake move. Face said he didn’t have time to call Willie because he found out late. Face got on plane went and performed and didn’t say nothing.

Willie D owns a good amount of real estate properties and other stuff around Houston.

His daughter is an attorney and his son is doing something successful that I can't remember, as well.

Geto Boys (including all spin offs and prequels) best album is the one where Rick Rubin remixed the tracks. The one with Scarface, Size Ain't shyt, Let a Ho Be a Ho... that one.

Scarface did a lot of excellent work solo. The others not so much. The next GB albums were solid..

But no Geto Boys project touches that "first" album. I felt it was their actual first, but it's a remix of the first album by the second iteration of GB.
