Absolutely ya'll are spot on. That's the only thing I can think of @Awesome Wells . V Don just needs a collab project with an artist with a slightly bigger profile, and then he could be off to the races. He's got one with Boldy James dropping Q4. I don't know if that's quite the name, but I really hope V Don can break out into a more well known and lucrative position, because he's right in the mix with Madlib and Alc for my favorite producers. And he's super active. It's great to be a V Don fan.

Plus V Don interludes are better than most mainstream producers catalogs.



V Don is the best producer not named Madlib or Alchemist.

The brilliance of Willie the Kid is, as the mixtape era was dying (which he came up in with his brother La the Darkman), he was one of the vanguard who started doing these shorter EP length releases, often with a single producer, that have basically defined the current format and doesn't get nearly enough credit for it.
