As far as movies? I know covid slowed things down but the genre’s been losing interest for years now.

there's a lot of options for comedy now as opposed to ten years ago

people say politically correctness is "killing comedy"

when in reality podcasts have kinda taken a chunk of would be talent from the stage to the microphones

and thus have a broader audience that the likes of Robin Harris, Bernie Mac and Martin would've killed for in they glory days.

but since this is about movies, I'd say all the raw talent obviously is on Instagram and TikTok, and despite what the nerds and snobs think, a lot of those people got talent and are funny, so for now clips and random videos will suffice.

but it'll even it self out. type of stuff always does.

Like Country Wayne said to Pierre:
“ why would I make a movie when ppl can’t put they phones down? they looking at ME when they trying to watch a movie”
but if bruh got a hold of a good script and some funding, why not make even more getting a slice of ticket sales?

This is correct. Lot of the “classic” comedies of the last 2-3 decades wouldn’t even get written or greenlit these days due to perceived, or actual offensive humor. You’re stuck with comedies that either are made for segmented audiences or that pander. Neither one make for good films
