Many of these reported vertical leaps of past players are unreliable since they didn’t measure verticals at combines until recently.

A lot of Wilt stories and numbers (besides the obvious one) are unverified, I was looking over on some other sites and it seems there’s a lot of debate over what his true track and field numbers were.

However, he did win some conference high jumping events at Kansas and was unquestionably a freakish athlete.

Its really just the skeptism thatd unverified. Every video ive seen seems to support all the claims.

Nah

Wilt was like three to four inches taller than D-Rob.

DRob wasn’t 7 feet without shoes

Robinson was listed as 7-1 250 which I believe were Wilts same numbers....they were both tall thin muscular frames....

Wilt didn’t have anything close to a 48 inch vertical. All of his stories were cap. He also claimed to bench press 600 lbs, when he’d be lucky to put up half that.

Wilt’s duck tales makes MJ look humble. The further you go back the easier it is to lie. :mjlol:

Dunno about 48" but he was definitely over 40" and was a legit 7'1". There's a pic of him standing next to Shaq when he was in Orlando and Wilt around age 60.

They looked to be the same size in terms of body but Wilt was a little taller even as an older man. Imagine someone that's like a combo of Shaq and David Robinson but MORE athletic than both.
