I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in buildings that high.
Yeah, Wind speeds on the upper floors of tall towers can indeed be quite high, and designing movable windows for such buildings presents a significant engineering challenge.

I'm sure some engineer or architect can figure out some way around needing window washers to dangle perilously over ledgesI'm pretty sure that doesn't work in buildings that high.
Hilary Banks will you marryyy me.
DamnThat shyt aint funny. Nobody plans on dying at their job.
This is absolutely crazy, not to far from my spot either. Wonder if window washers kind of like cell phone tower workers. if this was daytime could have killed others too.
I think this would cause suicides at work to increase lolOr maybe design buildings in a way where all the windows are accessible from the inside. I can only imagine how much of a hassle it would be if i had break out a ladder anytime i needed to wash my second floor windows at home.
fortunately i have windows the open inside like this

Apparently they went on strike in 2021 for this same issue. Idk where it was though. I lazily clicked the first link.Wild they don’t have hazard/risk pay/death insurance for that kind of work, one issue or weather miscalculation and it’s over. I’ve seen them washing in Manhattan and you truly can’t get any riskier.
Way too much of a liability hazard.Or maybe design buildings in a way where all the windows are accessible from the inside. I can only imagine how much of a hassle it would be if i had break out a ladder anytime i needed to wash my second floor windows at home.

Yeah, maybe one day 100 years from now we will look back at old pictures and videos of people on scaffoldings cleaning windows and be likeI'm sure some engineer or architect can figure out some way around needing window washers to dangle perilously over ledges
they really did that shyt" as some 16 year old cleans the 228th floor of the Empire State Building. Or maybe they'll look back and say, "now these were men"
