Anyone having problems with monitors going into sleep mode and not waking up? It got to the point where I went into the display settings to enable the old "Mystify your mind" screensaver instead of blanking out the screen. I'm running 3 monitors in Eyefinity mode on an older Radeon card.

It's the card. I had the same issue for a long time on 8.1.

I've been on 8.1 since it came out, and I never had the "sleeping monitor" problem until this week.

EDIT:
I did a quick search online and I found some old articles that said that turning on the AMD "External Events Service" fixes this. Well, I just recently turned off that service because it spams my Windows Event Logs with thousands of messages. So apparently is IS an issue with the card, not Windows.

Glad you fixed it. Mine went away with updates so I honestly couldn't help you out further than that.

Having troubles doing my first SSD upgrade. Basically, the SSD won't boot, don't know what I did wrong. I'm wiping the drive and will try again

yea seems like some of the kinks have been worked out.. for people still having probs go to windows update and see if your up to date.. dosent seem like its auto updating like it said it was..or maybe because i changed the option to let me choose when to restart

either way my shyts running smooth.. was having wifi probs but just reinstalled the drivers and now im good
