WINDOWS 10 CAN SEARCH FOR AND DISABLE PIRATED GAMES

An update to Microsoft's End User License Agreement allows Windows 10 to remotely disable counterfeit software or hardware on your computer.

Alphr first spotted the change which came into effect on August 1. Section 7b of the EULA states that Microsoft may "automatically check your version of the software and download software update or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorised hardware peripheral devices."

Details are fuzzy at the moment, so IGN will update you when Microsoft has something to say on the matter.

Last week, it was discovered that Windows 10 can still connect to Microsoft's servers, even if you tell it not to.

This only applies to Microsoft games/software, not 3rd party apps /thread.

They can't even disable pirated copies of Windows why would they worry about this :russ:

this is worrisome because microsoft just may end up bricking your system if they cannot wipe the game... i've seen people who had gotten locked out of their xbox live accounts for no reason whatsoever... so it's not far fetched... this is bullshyt tho... :stopitslime:

Edit: but if this rule only applies to microsoft games not 3rd party games. then.... :pachaha:
