was NOT expecting that.

Two heavyweights going at it. I’m not discouraged, just disappointed. Both defenses were sliced up today. Can either choose to look at it like “Damn our offense showed we can step up when needed and go at it vs the best defense in the league” or we can look at it like “Damn our defense is regressing hard.”

Either way, I’m not discouraged. Still optimistic we can make a super bowl run, we just gonna really need to hope football gods throw us a bone in January. The NFC is so elite. January will be crazy. And now we likely will have to go on the road. Optimists can look at it as being the potential greatest Saints run ever. Pessimists can look at it as we won’t be able to get it done on the road and also with the refs likely playing a part.

Can only hope for the best :manny:

If the saints win out the rest of the year the 1 seed is theirs. 49ers will lose to the rams and Seahawks.

I said it in last week's game thread, Loomis and Payton's insistence this team was all fine and gucci at the deadline was gonna come back to bite them once they played a legit contender competent enough to exploit things like our lack of depth at receiver and our complete :trash: excuse of a secondary. And look what happens, got some clown who looks like Shazam who dates pornstars having the best game of his career hanging almost 50 on us in the dome :francis: You ain't "all-in" on making the most of Brees last years of his career when the best corner in the whole damn league becomes available and you don't even make an offer out of cockiness and stubbornness believing your already the best despite having a secondary that couldn't stop a blind man. The most infuriating part is even if we called it quits trying to go all-in now and shifted towards more of a rebuild/retooling it STILL would've been a logical ass move to make; you ain't finding a better corner for the long term in any draft with the 27th~ pick regardless. It's why the Steelers gave up a first for Fitzpatrick, someone who we also should've seriously targeted but probably didn't even inquire about before he got snatched up:snoop:.

We can still win it all, but if that path don't go through the Dome, and we gotta play teams like this, when we all know the refs gonna be out to make a historic example of us? With 1 real receiver that's bound to get doubled and schemed outta the game like last year, and a heavily regressing defense, notably a swiss cheese secondary? Fat chance unfortunately :francis::mjcry:

Fam you stay overreacting :mjlol: we put up 46 points with just one receiver on the best defense in the L the defense had a terrible game the worst since week 1 they’ll be aight
