It would mean Brees/Payton would have 0 rings and given then what we’ve done the last 10+ years, it would just be another game fans used to mock us on the list of heartbreaking Saints losses.
We already have a reputation for our current day era as the team that never could get it done, if we didn’t have 2009 to fall back on, legacies would be a lot different for Brees, Payton, and our franchise as a whole. Falcons fans would have much more legitimate ammo against us.

EDIT: @taker597 Not only we're the O-Line gassed late in the 2009 NFC Title Game, but the WRs (specifically Devery and Meach) we're lowkey shook at the big moment.
Devery had a clean 1st Down reception that he bobbled and secured possession short of the sticks, which led to Pierre having to leap over the pile at the line on 4th Down to get forward progress and a 1st, despite being met in mid-air by Greenway.
And Meach bobbled the reception right before Hartley kicked the game-winner
