Not in general but the way school is structured largely is. Its sit down, be quiet, listen, take the information in and then regurgitate it in a few weeks to prove you know it. Not saying its the worst thing in the world but there are plenty of people that learn better in other ways

Damn what university/course did you study :what:

University was nothing about being quiet and regurgitate it. Maybe the way you learnt, maybe the course you studied? But yeah :sas1:

Women are outperforming men now because education standards have changed to cater to them. The teaching environment is female lead from day one and carries on with a diet of low-pressure, long-scale assessment rather than something more competitive.

Add these women constantly striving to mirror what their attracted to and well.....

You get the idea.....

Also women aren't outperforming men in any of the STEM fields though

:lupe:

Of course he's right. :what:

Prep School and college teach you how to study for test (until your junior and senior year of college).

Getting a degree has NOTHING to do with intelligence, and everything to do with diligence and perseverance. The only time I learned anything remotely useful to my future career was by doing the STEM projects that we had throughout the years. That's it.

If you interact with people on a daily basis, you will learn that real life applicable knowledge has little correlation with the amount of degrees someone posses. I know doctors and lawyers who cannot hold an intelligent conversation on anything that veers away from their area of study.

And i'm not just saying this cuz I never went to get my Masters. Given my field, I just have 0 use to ever get another degree in my life. :ld:

This nikka is retarded. It's not about retaining what you know per se, it's just about being able to retain it in the first place. The degree is proof of work ethic and intellect.
Theres very little correlation between good grades and intelligence. Work ethic yes, intelligence no.
My ex had a 4.0 in college and got accepted in nursing school, but she was far from intelligent and literally no common sense at all. She just worked hard in school and studied, since it was all she knew how to do.

This statement is dumb as Fukk. The fact that he limited the college experience to just midterms shows he doesn't understand college in the first place. College helps you in more than just passing midterms. What about people traveling ( Study abroad), what about people joining clubs and organizations ( Black student unions, NAACP) or Newtworking ( NABA, black MBA associations).

People want to get successful careers without getting shot 9 times. GTFOH!!

Just because he's successful being a rapper doesn't mean he knows everything. nikkas are successful catching footballs. Would you listen to them on advice about finance? :laff:
He's a succeful business man on top of rapper.
Question, what advice can someone who graduated with a college degree give me, besides anything school related? What does a 23 year old college graduate know thats worth a damn compared to 50 cent?

Talking more about k-12. College was definitely different but is still largely lecture based

Exactly. My youngest brother just graduated from Vanderbilt in May. Do I think that he has more real world intellect than anyone on this board?

Hell no. :bryan:

The only thing he could teach TheColi is Calculus :deadmanny:

You need college for this?

Couple of things, I just used the organizations I joined as examples. Secondly I think it would be very hard to find all of these experiences in one area. Again there were many black clubs and organizations at my university. I'm just using my clubs as a sample size.

Lol I don't gotta tell myself shyt cuz I know what I'm in school for and I retain the knowledge because I know it'll be useful
Since I have something called a goal that use my education for and don't get education just for education sake
