thank you for this. these people think everyone can go after STEM and do well. NOPE. you have to be born for that. most people are not. thats why they will jump ship asap. or be fired a few times from their jobs after they realize they suck at STEM jobs. just because you have an engineering degree doesnt make you a good engineer. ask real engineers what i'm talking about.

just because you have 6 certs in I.T. and degree in Computer science doesnt mean you can program well. ask real programmers if my statement is true or not.

Dudes getting Business administration/ or business management degrees. and can't manage or administrate to save their lives. they just have the paperwork to say they past some tests and wrote some papers.

I
know exactly where you're talking about :snoop:

I used to live in the Mosaic breh, right in the middle of downtown.
Breh.... the apartments were like

Could see my office from my window...
And we had a rooftop pool and a DJ every thursday/friday/saturday night.

The women were all so fit and friendly :noah:

Had to leave though. :camby:
It wasn't financially wise. I was paying more for this 1 bedroom apt than my dad was paying in mortgage for his house :dahell:
I wasted soooooo much money.... I wish I could go back and redo it :wow:
Thats fly af.
Was you living there when Dallas had the superbowl and allstar weekend?

Now you see why I had to move and shut myself in a lil bit.

If you out there.... people take notice. :leostare:
I know for damn sure half them nikkas at the rooftop pool parties didn't live in the Mosaic :martin:.

Brehs on the roof fully dressed with shoes on and everything.
Girls asking them: "Why don't you just run down to your apartment and change?:dwillhuh:"

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I'm missing the part where he said don't go to college. People will read a quote in plain English. Add in a bunch of shyt that was never said. Then get mad at the person for the made up bullshyt

He simply said people will judge you on your level of education. But having a degree doesn't make you smart or highly knowledgeable on the subject. And it doesn't make you smarter than someone who doesn't have one

Is any of that a lie?

did you even read the article ...

Landivar said there are many reasons students don’t get STEM jobs, including that STEM degrees provide a range of career options. Landivar noted that some biology majors, for instance, will go to medical school and become doctors. Because of the way the Census Bureau classifies jobs, doctors are not listed among STEM professionals.

Anthony Carnevale, director of the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce, said STEM degrees are becoming “universal degrees.”

First off, very good, stick with!

And yes, what you're doing is actually exactly what you'll be doing in the workforce. Java 1, Java 2, Digital logic, Assembly (using SPIM, MIPS), Digital Security, C++, SQL etc etc.

Every one of those courses/skills you will use directly in your career in some way shape or form (all higher level languages are the same, just different syntax). STEM is the closest thing to trade school you can get a traditional 4 year college.

But for most other majors, its not the same. I don't think you realize just how different STEM is from liberal arts. Its not even remotely comparable.
