Is Witcher 2 basically the same game as 3 ... I just started and I dont see too many differences in items or anything (besides obviously story) ........... anything better or different in 2 to look forward to?

different complex story with two completely different paths to take. You have to beat it twice to see the entire story. The game is well worth playing, just for the story. Witcher 3 is better, but Witcher 2 is still great.

as stated, 2 is way more linear, but the two different paths are quite nice, me and my roommate played it around the same time but due to our choices had a vastly different experience. Way less freedom compared to 3 but still a great game.

I picked it up because I loved Witcher 3, but I just can't get into it. I'm sure the story will be great, but I can't get past the first 30 minutes. The controls and combat are so much worse than 3 that it's tough going back and playing this one.Playing now
