not really. Dragon Age is a more traditional RPG that has it's roots in games like Balder's Gate and KOTOR. Mass Effect is a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements

the difference really being that Dragon Age has combat that based on stats. this is something that comes from Dungeons & Dragons. you choose who to attack with which type of attack, and the success of that attack is determined by various stats. an "action RPG" tends to incorporate the players skill at aiming, dodging, timing, etc

I know that Origins was based off older RPG's such as the ones you mentioned, however the combat was significantly altered in the second game to become more faster and along the lines of an action RPG and similar to Mass Effect. You could pretty much button mash your attacks, allocate them to hot key button and not use the tactical menu. Does Dragon Age Inquisition not continue off two's fast paced combat?

Amazing atmosphere. Great graphics. Immersive story. Beautiful world. Great side quests. Fun gore. Cool enemies. Massive world.

Graphics are great. But not mind blowing. Character movement is very feathery and janky. I had to customize sensitivities. Combat is cool but imo not that tight. Camera is eh. Frame rate is ok but not great.

I will say I've gotten more used to the controls and Im def having fun. It's worth a cop imo. But I also think sites giving it a 10/10 are nuts.

I've only had one atmosphere breaking issue so far and it was minute.

Yea I've been playing all morning, really getting into it now, I can see myself going 100 hrs on this one

Combat Def lacks polish. Character models r all tiny. fighting is just meh.

Characters rawness and finishing moves saves the game.

Having to completly stop to start a convo.....
