Quality wise? His 1st 3 albums and the 8 Mile soundtrack at his best projects

Yea those projects are his best to date, the quality dropped right after that soundtrack dropped. everything else is average to terrible.

I like Eminem man. His old music was agressive but he just isn't as angry anymore.
I actually think he became more mature cause he made an apology to his mom and he doesn't make fun of pop artists anymore.
Although some pop artists like Britney Spears where straight up spoiled bytches who kinda deserved it.

I'd say his prime and peak years were from 99' to 02' as far as his albums go.
The Eminem Show was more toned down in comparison to his The Marshall Mathers LP and The Slim Shady LP
But he is overrated.

Off the strength of his run from 99-03 I still have him in my top 5.
But his run since the has been so cringe worthy I'm beginning to reevaluate my position
It's ok to do that, cause I had Eminem in my top 10 for years and I'm not even sure I'd have him in my top 25 right now. The thing about Eminem is I'm not even sure he'd sound good over good-great production. Right now, Em is the classic underground rapper --- can rap his ass off with a lot of technical ability, but sounds terrible doing it. There's some rappers that haven't had good production in a long time, but still sound good rapping (Redman and AZ are the first that come to mind). Em just doesn't have it as a rapper any more.
Yeah it's crazy how every rapper from back in the day may have fallen off commercially but they can still actually rap as good or better than used to. But with Em it's like he basically for got how to rap.
Recovery is garbage
