i love both albums but i find myself listenin' to this one the most these days. ironman gets my vote

when i first heard them, ironman : 5/5, SC : 4.5/5. i guess at the time i was expecting an ironman part 2 and SC had a totally different vibe

but SC grew on me i give both a 5/5 now, ironman still gets the slight edge but its very close, i could pick SC on a different day

Supreme Clientele won because Ghost basically grew wings creatively on there

Ironman in a lot of ways is like the perfect Wu release where everyone is in rare form... shyt could go either way for any fan

The crazy thing about Bulletproof Wallets is Ghost switched up his entire style again b/c people kept saying he made no sense, so Ghost made every damn track on BW some concept track or storytelling. And people were still running w/ that "Ghost just spits nonsense" shyt. Just shows how the people who talk shyt are really never paying attention.

The overall flow of the album was fukked up a bit when they pulled The Sun & The Watch & sucked the flavor out of Flowers though. Those cuts would kind have balanced out the still Ghost but label pushed tracks of Never Be The Same Again, Love Session & Ghostshowers. Still love the album though.

Pretty Tony was a step back lyrically but people sleep on the throwback production that kinda save that album. But then Fishscale came through with a little of every style & Ghost crushed it. Crushed it so hard they dropped a second album off those sessions and it was banging too. And they still had banging extras from those sessions like Charlie Brown that didn't make either album.

If you are a real head and listened to wu since 92-93 then it's obvious Ironman...newer fans who jumped on the ghost bandwagon at the turn on the century or who are around 20-25 in age would prefer SC

still Supreme Clientele is easily the better album. i guess imo. but, i dont see how anyone can prefer ironman

Had to vote Ironman, high level wu shyt. Supreme is dope but personally think it's overated.
That Ironman CD is always close to hand, I could recite that shyt backwards.

One could argue it's the best wu album period imo

On the Cappa issue, my theory's always been that his Cuban Linx/Ironman verses are compiled of all the best verses he had prewritten before he got locked & then, when they put him on, he used that ammo up and you saw the swift decline in his lyrics starting on Forever when he had to write up all new shyt.



but even as hard as he fell off, you got to respect those early verses...he'll even drop in on your house party & spit em live:
