With all the rules stacked against the defense I think the fast pace should be regulated

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
It seems like literally every rule change has benefited offenses going back to when the changed the rule that you couldn't touch a receiver after 5 yards. You can't touch the quarterback now thanks to Tom Brady. The tuck rule was dusted off and enforced. This hurry up pace is basically nails going into the coffin. The least they can do is give defenses a chance to get set for the play.

People need to stop using rule changes as an excuse to why some teams are garbage on defense.

The Seahawks have a great defense and are playing under the same rules as everyone else, so what gives? Because they have talent and are coached well.

They already addressed this.

Chip Kelly got a memo from the league saying the refs will slow down the pace, if they have to, because (in their words) THEY set the game pace, not the teams.

Who says Seattle has a great defense :comeon:

shyt got nothing to do with talent. If a team isn't allowed to get in place to play defense in the first place how is that fair?

they should send it to every team. I think it's going to lead to injuries. It might work on the college level but on the pro level somebody gonna get hurt.

They had the best scoring defense in football, how were they not a good defense? And it has everything to do with talent. Teams like the Seahawks and 9ers are great on D because they're loaded with talent. Teams like the Saints are garbage on D because they don't have much talent. It's very simple, "rule changes" are an overblown excuse

For the record.... I don't see Chip having that much success anyway to be honest
