Impossible to make a comparison.

One guy can make a massive difference in basketball, but even the best player in the world in soccer can't make a team even compete without pieces around him.

(Lebron in Cleveland still made the playoffs despite lack of great 2nd/3rd options, etc)

Way less players in basketball mean the star (best) player is gonna get all the fame, which doesn't have to happen in soccer.

You gotta put marketability aside, there is no player in us sports who was in beckhams talent bracket (mid carder to borderline star) while also having his level of fame

:stopitslime:

Why ppl acting like Beckham was that great ? He never was that great ? He was a popular blonde guy from ENgland women lust over cuz he was seen as the blonde Alpha male. Add to the fact that he married a Spice girl when all men were lusting over em.

He's always been a subpar guy who scores big. That's all :stopitslime:

Exactly. Yea, you have your Messi's and Ronaldo's who had a stint where they were untouchable. But how many non strikers are "dominant"? Are Zidane and Roberto Carlos mediocre because they didnt dominate? It's a team sport and they contributed to their teams domination. The hell is wrong with these people :heh:
