With the current internet going to hell, how long do you predict until there's another big net?

I was just thinking about how much disinformation is out there on the internet the other day. Like, I can imagine 30+ years from now, all these ideas and theories, people and projects, history being debunked in a sense or being exposed as an idea without proper backing that began on the internet

Well that's always been the danger with free information flow. It's easier and faster to manipulate larger groups of people.

The next big net thing will be human wifi where the tech interfaces our nervous system and overlays real time without external devies. You'll more than likely see it within your lifetime and that will make the current web look like dialup in comparison due to the ever present integration.

Of course this has immense implications on many levels of existence but do you think people will care?

That's still the internet. That's just using satellites and base stations instead of wires in the ground to connect to the internet.

Remember when you'd have to be crazy to post your face or any personal stuff on the internet? Now you have the big four (Twitter, fb, ig, YouTube) that pretty much normalized and encourage putting everything out there for the world and governments to see. That and these companies taking your information doing who knows what with it all. How long until you think something like freenet or another internet gain traction due to people getting tired of dealing with the current bullshyt.....if at all?
