With the onset of 4K gaming, Console gaming has officially surpassed PC gaming

As someone with a powerful gaming PC and a bevy of home consoles, i can comfortably say gaming on these new 4K consoles is superior to gaming on PC. With gaming PC's huge number of bugs, delays, and flat out poor conversions, PC gaming is hit or miss to say the least. The one trump card PC gaming had over console was superior asthetics and performance. However, when gaming on the Xbox One S (and soon my PS4 Pro), console gaming has caught up with PC. Gaming in 4k and 30 fps is fukking flames, especially on a home console. Really enjoying it immensely. Especially with the lack of crashing to desktop and other headaches very commonplace on the PC.

Online gaming is even worse. The PC gaming community is nerdy as fukk. Console gamers tend to be more normal though.

Can't wait until Scorpio comes out and really solidifies the home console gaming's superiority over PC.

It's going to be interesting as time goes on how enhanced consoles impact the streaming/youtube market. Right now it's owned by PC because the quality is just better when done with the assistance of a PC. If they can nail down great performance out the box and people don't have to worry about having a PC to stream at good resolutions and 60fps, or being able to capture their gameplay in 60fps...

The OG PS4 can stream to Twitch and Youtube at 720p/60fps
The PS4 Pro can stream to Youtube at 1080p/60fps

Console gaming is far cheaper. My new Xbox One S was only $300. Thats the price of the latest graphics card, which must be upgraded at least every 3-4 years to stay current. Thats quicker than most console life cycles breh.

No, they play games at 4k too.

Playing Titan Fall 2 in 4K at what appears to be 60 fps is pretty fukking amazing. Better experience than on console.

What's the bitrate quality? Resolution is only half the game. Right now these consoles are doing pretty good for basically having similar CPUs as the cheap laptops at Best Buy. Which is my issue with the Pro, because the GPU upgrade was substantial but they didn't wanna take a hit on the CPU to get that up to par as well. For what they are they're great for most people but I don't get the notion of this thread that they've leaped over PCs for the enthusiasts crowd. Scorpio could do it but that remains to be seen.
