The thing is, we don't know, it wasn't like the brand split was wire to wire sucess, there were very good parts and very bad parts so it hard to make a prediction.
It will be a buzz for a while and it may drum up some interest in wrestling again by some of the more casual fans but if they don't book it right and create new stars then ultimately it will fail just like it did last time.

I saw that movie once as a kid and loved it.
The brand split should be interesting for the first few weeks, mostly because it's a new thing and we don't really know for sure how everything will turn out. After SummerSlam, the lazy writing will take full effect and it will feel like nothing's changed.
Unless one show really does end up being better than the other. Makes no sense for both brands to be mediocre.
Pretty much, that's how it is.
