From the lingo, to fashion, to the production, beat making, dances/2 steps, labels, infusion of new fresh talent and sounds every year, it can be concluded that since 2002 (Lil Jon, Ludicrous, Outkast, Pastor Troy, Cee-Lo,T.I., Jeezy, Gucci, Rocko, etc) Atlanta been keeping the Hip Hop culture and rap genre alive in black America for without it, Hip Hop is DEAD in 2014....Big ups to Guwop for consistently putting on new artists, seems like every year since '08 three or four new artists/producers/beat makers blow up off his co-sign

im sorry but i give the credit to the NETWORKS and RESOURCES that atlanta has to offer....

alot of dudes not from there...they flock there in hope of fame/success

aside from Mike, whose doing fringe albums with a backpacker overlord from NYC & Dre, a guy from a 20 year old broken up group i'm not seeing any hip hop there.

i'm actually warming up to the new atlanta stuff in drips and drabs but they can't sustain a whole tape. and it isn't hip hop. that's actually a complement. atlanta created a new genre. dont call it hip hop though.
