its not just the rap industry

its us in general

we are on a black dominated forum where you can't go a single day without someone threatening someones life or family or trying to expose someone

apparently we don't like peace

negativity is flowing through our veins daily

Even the thread topics on this very forum discussing crime eventually devolve into dissing and ridicule matches between posters

the music and murders you see is just an extension of that

:manny:

So stop doing black peoples favorite pass time?

That’s not happening

You got black people out here praising weasels like DJVlad, a person that adds to the chaos for his own gain.

nikkas ain't ready to progress.

That’s fine and everything, but I wish some of these entertainers would use their platform to offer a more serious take than just “feel the good vibes bro”. And I fukk with Wiz heavy. But come on.

Cats bout to call Wiz a c00n now.

One of "our" main issues is everytime a Black person wants to be positive, or take accountability, or discuss solutions we run into people like the ones I quoted above.

Wiz's simple message could have really resonated with some young Black person lurking the thread only to scroll down and read this negativity and think "meh, they right what's the point":yeshrug:

People always want to talk about gangbangers and rappers negative influence on Black culture.(with good reason) But we can't keep letting trolls, debbie downers, and sneak c00ns avoid their share of the blame.

Polarisation, negativity, ideological tribalism and schadenfreude are the bread and butter of a society that has let their collective consciousness be dictated by media conglomerates and interest groups. Hate and strife sells, negative emotional responses to news keeps the sheep engaged, gullible and ignorant to the fact that sedition keeps from realising how much power their is in a collective of people with a common cause that holds each other responsible for their ways and actions. Religion ,for all it's flaws did that but if there's no morals and principal guidelines on which we can hold each other accountable to, we become easy to manipulate and fall for the bullshyt.
