This is such a dumb way to measure falling off to me.

If an artist who used to put out good music has been putting out straight ass for 5+ years, but they’re still rich, then they haven’t fallen off?

Why do you care about their financial status? Are you a fan of music or an accountant?
If an artist puts out a good project and it's not on the radio and they aren't "hot" people will still say they fell off anyway

I'm sure Short Dawg is putting out the best music of his life right now but I haven't heard shyt from him in like 10 years, the measure of falling off can be different for everyone and that's ok

Since when “he’s rich though” has given a rapper a pass for falling off? :dead:

Y’all pick and choose based off who you like :dead:
I don't think posters are using his wealth as justification, just acknowledging a bit that he's been kinda coasting since 2014.

Also like another poster said, Wiz was never that lyrical of an artist to begin with, the snippet in the OP shows he's in the same ball park as far as his pen.

He's at his most known...how is that falling off?
He's been around for 18 years. I STILL remember seeing Wiz live at Shadow Lounge in East Liberty in Pittsburgh in 2005 before anybody knew him...

And he is still here famous as ever...he's been in movies and TV, he's had billboard hits...

NAH STOP.

Wiz is gen Y Snoop...at a certain point, Snoop wasn't making nothing to have you like :gladbron: they gonna give you their style and occasionally get on an undeniable beat that makes a song a banger, but it aint really about the lyrics they added. Wiz ~15 years deep, he's on cruise control

What if there are people who still love his music?

Music is subjective.

Jay Z been ass since 2007 yet the world acts like he’s still good.

Drake has been phoning it in since 2015.

Music is a popularity contest.

Wiz is at a point in his musical career where he doesn’t have shyt to prove anymore.

Wiz was never the type of rapper that challenged himself to create genre altering albums like Kendrick.

Wiz was never the type of rapper that wanted to prove how lyrical and nice he on a grand scale is like J Cole.

Wiz was never the type of artist that put effort into creating a factory full of bubbling talent to make hits and dominate the charts like Drake.

Wiz is only existing at this point. A lot of his casual fans might’ve moved on but he still has a loyal fanbase that would still fukk with his music til this day.

Wiz will never fall off because he’s always gonna be in his own lane doing whatever he wants. Unlike those 3, he’s not held to a high standard everytime they drop music.I understand that his earlier music was great and became the soundtrack to a lot of y’all lives including mines but you gotta be realistic. Wiz ain’t in that space anymore.
