And for that alone, I give Wiz somewhat of a pass for his retail albums being bad.

- Two independent albums
- Two major release albums

[so we're at about 70 songs]

- Mac & Devin Go to High School

[82 songs]

- 10 mixtapes

[give or take, 15 songs/project, and we're at about 230 songs]

- one collaborative mixtape with Curren$y

[245 songs]

Handful of unreleased songs -- GREAT unreleased songs, at that (like The Puff Bus, all those leaked songs with Big Sean & Curren$y, etc.).

He has fallen off hard, but his grind has been in overload since the start and even after getting rich and famous, he hasn't let up in terms of output.

so has papoose...whats your point?
Wiz's music is good for the most part :comeon:

Wiz is just about as famous as Drake, for example, and Drake has about 1/3 the music out there that Wiz has. And their first projects dropped around the same time. And Drake's first major album came out before Rolling Papers.

Don't confuse it, I think Drake is a far superior artist at this point, but Wiz has blessed us with tons of piff and has a Lil Wayne esque output. Two mixtapes, an album and the Snoop album all within a year.

imo, the new album isn't bad but, i could understand saying that about rolling papers. its def. blatantly poppy. cabin fever 2 isnt bad either, save a few songs.

Yeah, Wayne was hot on those features and all.. but uhh, as far actually putting out projects? Even back then? He was putting out three projects per year MAX, as far as I can recall.
In 2012? He's put out one mixtape in the past year and a half, and everybody knows IANAHB2 isn't coming out till next year :flabbynsick:

Wiz's past 18 months:

March 29, 2011 -- Rolling Papers *studio solo album
December 13, 2011 -- Mac & Devin Go To High Scool *studio collab album
March 14, 2012 -- Taylor Allerdice *full-length solo mixtape
October 16, 2012 -- Cabin Fever 2 *full-length solo mixtape
December 4, 2012 -- O.N.I.F.C. *studio solo album

At Wayne's peak, he was definitely better than Wiz. But did he put out this many projects in the span of a year or 18 months?

I don't even wanna say the phrase "The album isn't that bad", it's not bad at all maybe 3 mics.
It's good but it's not nearly as good as his work between 07- Pre rolling papers.
It was like a 50% chance of him dropping something classic back then..

The thing is that he's not developed, the only thing he's developed is a faster flow.
That's why I smh when cats say "he doesn't sound the same" and shyt like that. Wiz has not changed enough, he's changed personality and all that but he's trying his best to imitate his finest moments instead of creating new moments.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8v335DPxsQU"]Wiz Khalifa - I Own It (Prince Of The City 2) - YouTube[/ame]

he's not a lot better than this today, he's essentially the same rapper but it's not fresh anymore, it's not a new sound anymore and that's the biggest "problem".
Well another problem is that he only talk about money and it's not really cool, he used to mix up his lyrics with everyday observations, bytches, weed, money, cheap to expensive liquor and shyt like that. But since his lifestyle changed, his lyrics changed as well cause all he does is rap about his life like someone like Jay-z. But he's not technical, lyrical etc enough to compensate for "limited subject of matter " and his life is not interesting enough, he's just a rich rapper nothing more nothing less.
