Surprising his family would be so tolerant considering Wiz's family is Muslim.

Dorien “LaLa” Thomaz, the older brother of rap artist Wiz Khalifa, died at age 32 on Feb. 20. Thomaz’s obituary states he passed away peacefully with his mother, Peachie Thomaz, by his side.


His obituary doesn’t include a cause of death, but the blogs report Thomaz was diagnosed with an incurable sexually transmitted disease.

Thomaz identified as a male-to-transgender who preferred to wear stereotypically feminine clothing.

He is survived by his brother, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, 29; his parents Peachie and Laurence, and half sister Lauren Thomaz. He is also survived by grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
