how is it lowkey? :what:

I think what happened was Ghost became a CAC favorite kinda like DOOM. Thing is, he's one of the wildest, blackest, most projecty dude ever created so it baffled his johnny come lately core of CACS who were making action figures of him and shyt. They don't get down to actual R&B joints. Plus Def Jam stepping on the record and letting it die caused the record to be perceived as his first (or second depending on where you land on Big Doe Rehab) let down. Maybe I'm over thinking things but that's what my guess is.

Been playing all the later Ghost albums and this one in particular was almost perfectly executed and has legit jams that should have been on radio. 'Let's Stop Playing w/John Legend' or 'Baby' w/Radio Raheem should have gotten the single treatment & push. Hov was likely hating, though. Or maybe Drake & Kanye were gobbling up all the attention with their pyramid scheme approach to album making. Ghost was always oddly at home on R&B joints.

seriously, how are these songs NOT urban radio ready?

i didn't even know 'Baby' had a video.

bruh, you ain't gotta big up a watered down ghost album just to further prove he better than bray wyatt's lil brother :russ:

now we all know that "shark biter", fat fukk bronson could never even see ghost on his worst day ("wizard of poetry" is one of those days), but "wizard of poetry" was forgettable :mjlol:

ghost really ain't had a decent album since bulletproof wallets. come on bruh :comeon:

Dog no disrespect because I don't do that ebeef shyt but you're just straight up wrong like Pretty Toney Album and Fishcale weren't crack come on now.

I'm prepared to let dudes live who don't like some of Ghost's recent joints and shyt, but to shyt on anything from his first 5 album run is just not credible I'm sorry

"Baby" would have been instant classic if not for that garbage ass autotune hook. Horrendous.

Rhymes and flow of course were on point. "Grown brotha like me let his thing.....brrradddat!"

Stay is an all time Ghost record to me, too. Like put it right next to fukkin' All That I Got Is You and Mighty Healthy. Canonize that shyt.

yep

Dope beat, perfect flow and that "baby oil Dreamgirls DVD" line always gets me. Been there. What grown ass man hasn't?

but yeah, Wizard of Poetry sucked. Great idea, not so great execution.
