They only have 5 players under contract next season if you count Beal being re-signed or playing under the qualifying offer.

They have 9 roster spots to fill. Without any picks. There's talk of bringing a couple young guys from abroad (Tomas Satoransky being the best player stashed playing at Barcelona). But its Grunfeld.

When KD re-signs in OKC, they will go on a spending spree of has-beens or mediocrity to patch up the roster.

The Wizards need a terrible year next year to be free from Grunfeld once and for all. We need to see them being a laughing stock again.

Idk all that stuff Grunfeld said about the draft I could see them trying to package a few picks and their youth to pull a sign or trade for a older marquee player of some sort to replace pierce.

If your coach is not utilizing the team to the maximum optimization they're a bad coach. Scott brooks under utilized the thunder for 5 -6 years straight

All you are doing is second guessing.

The team got better err year under Brooks. What else do you want?

Blatt nor Brooks were known for throwing players under the bus like Witmann- but they also arent known to hold players accountable.

Already traded away the picks. KD ain't walkin through that door, and anyone else worth signing ain't coming here. We can't offer more money, everybody has max cap room. Leveraged everything to get max cap room in the off season where every team will have cap room smh. Can only hope somehow Jeff Van gundy gets that clown Ernie fired again

Brooks should have played small in the 2012 NBA Finals, he didn't

He didn't adjust quickly then and he didn't adjust at all during the 2014 Western Conference Finals. The Spurs probably still win that series since they were on some other shyt that year but there really was no adjustments until it was way too late... and even then, they still got blown out by 30 about 3 times there.

His offense doesn't exist.

I will give him credit for preaching defense and for developing Westbrook into more of a PG. He can develop younger players but the problem is he isn't consistent at all with other young players and routinely set them aside for vets who didn't deserve the minutes.

He's a better, younger version of Wittman. Which means the Wizards go from having a bottom third of the league coach to MAYBE the next tier?

And thats more of an indictment on them. But anyone who has watched the Thunder compared to Brooks era can clearly see a difference. They still rely heavily on Durant/West esp late, but the offense is much better
