Even though everyone likes to say Jokic is horrible on defense, they’ve been a top 10 defensive over the last 4 years when Millsap has played.

Wes gets a ton of that credit, and it shows how underrated Jokic’s defense is by casuals
Jokic can bang in the post, drop back in P&R’s, good defensive rebounder/box out man, good active hands high steals total for a big man, he’s a true 7-footer, not afraid to draw a charge, as goofy as it can look goes after the stretch bigs to contest

U don’t want him hedging high on P&R’s too much, you can’t expect him to defend the elite vertical spacers, and he’s not a great rim protector.

He got his strengths and weaknesses not a sieve like it’s made out to seem. Based off that Tweet posted seems like Unseld Jr. communicated with Jokic on utilizing his strengths.

If you play him in drop or just switch, he’s gonna get killed by guards (like just about every center). Their playoff defense turned around when they started hedging and trapping PnRs, because his hands are so good and he’s so smart in how to recover and knowing where to be.

At that point you just also have to rely on other guys to be able to rotate and recover.
