Wizards Jordan really should’ve been Lakers Jordan instead

Think about it, a player of Jordan’s stature shoudnt have ended his days with the likes of the Wizards. He should’ve been on the Kobe/Shaq Lakers. Phil was there, Horace was there, hell we could’ve got Rodman there but by then he was prolly too far gone.

But real shyt, watching this doc really got me thinking what could’ve been. Kobe could’ve learned from the master front and center and become even better than he became, Shaq and Jordan are frat brothers so Shaq would’ve respected and listened to Jordan instead of having to get into it with Kobe about working hard, Phil would’ve had a perfect person to coach through to get the best out of the team, and Dr. Buss would’ve had a poker buddy to hit the tables with.

I’m convinced Jordan’s presence during the 3peat would’ve also prevented Kobe and Shaq from breaking up. MJ could’ve left the game with 8 titles having lifted a once poor franchise and turning it into an iconic one and then rode off into the sunset winning 3 with the GOAT franchise in all professional sports, YOUR Boss Angeles Lakers. :wow:

So what y’all think?

Fish
Kobe
Jordan
Horry
Shaq

:banderas:

That nikka ain't LeBron:stopitslime:

First off don’t ever compare the two. Secondly, Jordan was an established legend by then. Playing on the Lakers would’ve been icing on the cake.

And he only wanted to play for Phil. I know he got to play for Doug Collins again but if he knew they was gon fukk him over after retiring from the Wiz that might’ve changed his mind.

Didn’t he only come out of retirement cause he wanted a position with the wizards or am I getting that wrong?

either way, his and Shaq’s ego with Kobe’s ego looming in the shadows...:mjlol:

Nah, after 9/11 he came out of retirement and gave all the proceeds from his contract to charity iirc. I damn sure don’t know how he ended up with the Wizards of all teams. The town was hype tho I remember that much.

yes I believe so and then the Wizards owner betrayed him

He wanted to own the team and believed he would be sold the team before Abe Pollin got rid of him

Exactly, fukkin Abe Pollin R.I.P. straight gaffled his ass after using him for jersey and ticket sales. Should’ve spent his last days with a quality organization, if he’s the GOAT then only GOAT franchise could’ve handled that. :ehh:

Why would Jordan play with Kobe?

Why would Jordan play with Kobe?

Why not? Plus he’s playing for Phil on a much more quality organization. Kobe was too young at the time to make that kinda difference in whether Jordan would join or not no matter how great Kobe was at the time. Besides, Kobe and Jordan would’ve ended up being very close given their similar natures and Kobe’s reverence for MJ.

It’s Shaq that would’ve been the more interesting dynamic because Jordan would’ve been the guy with championships in the room vs Shaq who until 2000 had yet to prove he could do the same.

Spurs weren’t interested in MJ during that time
