I'd vote for Backlund.
Loved what I've seen from his 79'-83' run as champ with great matches against Patera, Idol, Patterson, Hansen, Slaughter, Ladd, Valentine, etc.
It's not easy to not vote for Kurt though, I'm not nearly as high on him as most of TSC but dude was consistently entertaining and could pull off a classic when he wanted to. I just get frustrated with him because he goes for silly reversals and suplexes instead of telling a great story that he CAN tell whenever he wants to.
But fukk it, I'd go with Backlund's goofy ass.
