Crazy you say that because the Pistons came in once and did there thing defensively with the help of Pierce. They don't make all star games like that.

I was expecting guys to play like they wanted to be there.

That all star game got tons of bytching

That was a great all star game though.. LeBron and crew were there but there were too many dudes drafted in the 90s/previous era who only knew one way to play basketball. In that short clip you see sets being ran, defense being playing, guys playing like the game meant something.. competition!

Well, bytching from fans of teams that hated the Pistons. I was loving it lol, if I remember correctly we had a Warriors type start to that season before the older legs kicked in, so we had a chip on our shoulders. Not necessarily indicative of the era. If the Warriors had 4 all stars and Kerr as coach and no Kobe tribute, we'd see the same thing

I don't expect much from the All-Star game honestly. It's as enjoyable as some highlights of Pro-Am circuits to me.

On a side note though, why do the analysts try to force the "they'll turn it on in the 4th quarter" notion down our throats? Only sometimes do players actually hustle in 4th quarters, it's not like they just turn it on in the 4th. I had to remind myself that this will likely just be a coast to the finish and not some Drew League final in the final period to avoid disappointment.
