Kinda the theory I’ve heard was JJ wanted a certain amount of $$ and the Lakers brass didn’t wanna pay so they moved to Hurley instead

I don’t know what being a nepo baby has to do with anything. Building a hedge fund or oil company does not ensure that you understand basketball. And also, I don’t know why the capital owner necessarily should know a lot about the business, you hire people for that. It’s like the funds that own Boeing might not know how to built aircrafts, but they understand how to appoint the correct people, that in turn appoint the correct people.
The question is how involved she is in the day to day business. You have owners that are like the GM and the opposite. And anywhere in between.
Whereas the owner just appoints presidents, GM and some other high level people.

Nah we cannot do this.. We can't say both, "she didn't do shyt and it's all her fault cause she's dumb." And lets realize the last few years have been ring, WCF and playoffs.. Lebron could want any body he can think of. If he felt she was a fukking idiot who couldn't boil water, he wouldn't have gone there. If he felt all these trades and players he wanted wasn't going to get done, cause she's a dumbass and Rob is too, he wouldn't be there. If he felt everything was their fault, and he was the one doing all the work, he wouldn't be there
Lebron wanted to be a Laker because of the brand West, Magic, Kareem, Shaq and Kobe built. Not a damn thing to do with Jeanie. And Lebron in turn got AD to demand a trade to the Lakers. The Lakers been a shyt show ever since Jerry Buss died. The only success they had was in 2020. The one year where both Bron and AD were arguably top 3 players. Pelinka been fukking up ever since. He was only hired to be the gm because he was Kobe's agent by the way.
I'm not saying she was the leader, or Rob. I'm saying you don't get to act like they aren't responsible for the ONLY success the Lakers have had since Kobe won a ring. They made those trades, signed those players, hired the coach and it got them a ring. TWO years ago. Not 15. They've done better than a shytload of owners in this league who's teams have gone absolutely nowhere and ain't going nowhere soon.

@ blaming Lebron. Once again proving why Hurley made the right decision. Laker fans were the main ones calling for Darvin Ham's head because he was "messing with the rotations", but then want to act like they have nothing to do with the firing of their coaches. This has been going on since that failed Kobe/Dwight Howard tandem and Kobe having Mike Brown fired after 9 games. This Laker trend of firing coaches after two seasons or less has been going on since Phil Jackson left the team for the second time last decade. Why are you trying to act like this something that only started when Lebron joined the Lakers?
