:beli: which was the point I made

But it's a guarantee that the Raps won't win during his new 3-year contract:heh:
Ok, let say he signs with the Heats and they don't win. How many dudes who are not as talented as Lowry are being over payed for their "playoff experience" and then there is being over payed for their "finals experience"

Now imagine how much money a talent like Lowry will get with both "playoff experience" and "finals experience," let alone if he actually wins:banderas:

:childplease:
Now imagine he blows his knee out and can't ever get back to the playing level he is at...

but he would have all those playoff game films to keep him warm at night huh....

:dwillhuh:Thats hustling backwards tho

What if Shabazz comes on? What if some other young PG show out when his contract is up? I think youre placing too much emphasis role players receive from Championship experience.

Look at what that same team is doing with their finals saavy PG, Mario Chalmers:mjlol:?

What if Hansbrough becomes another Bill Laimbeir?
What if DeRozan becomes another Zeek?
What if Lou Williams become the all-star caliber player some claim he would be?

You are speaking about what-ifs, while I'm talmbowt resume entrees that are commonly referenced when determining whether a player should get a shyt load of money or not

Chalmers did not play well, so they gonna make a change. We gonna act like he is going to be playing in the D-league or overseas next season?

I gave you an example of a "role player" getting over payed though? So it's not me putting too much emphasis on anything. I'm basing my rational on actual events and reasons that occurred, not what-ifs

I'll take it further...
imagine he goes the playground with his kids and slip on a banana peal, hits his head on the slide, and can't get back to the playing level he is at.....

imagine he cross the street and get hit by a car, and can't get back to the playing level he is at.....

imagine if he signed this contract, slips on a banana peal, gets hit by a car and then can't get back to the playing level he is at.....

The Raps will seek litigation to void the contract or reduce the price tag because of the negligence of the player

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
So youre saying, take a paycut so that the heat can 'potentially' win a 'ship-> which would in turn lead to him getting more money...

Why not skip a step and just get paid that $$ today??:sas1:

Time value of money my friend. $1 today is worth more than a $1 tomorrow. No guarantee the Heat win another ship.:sas2:
Also tomorrow ain't promised. What if Lowry took some lame deal then blew out his knee and his career is over? :mjpls: This is essentially why nikkas opt to not stay in college where they theoretically can continue working on their game and getting better. Too much of a risk. nikkas thinking about getting that dough while they can get it. Why wait? :manny:

Jay Williams and the Chicago Bulls completed a $3 million buyout of the injured point guard's contract Monday, but Williams' agent says the point guard still hopes to resume his career with the team that made him the No. 2 pick in the 2002 NBA draft.

Williams, who was in the second year of a 3-year, $16.14 million contract, suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash last June.

:dead:

Breh dont even tell me that youre comparing riding a motorcycle to 'crossing a street' or ominous 'banana peels'?!

:pachaha:

In fact, most sports contracts actually forbid players from riding motorcycles altogether or have buyout clauses in case of said accident

focus on a fact based answer while ignoring the ridiculous and goal-post-moving nature of an "imagine" / "what-if" question brehs
