That opting-in shyt at the deadline sure was pointless.
Only thing I can think of is him wanting the extra $$ via an extension & also making sure the trade to the Nets goes through this time...by a new GM, too.

Dudes an idiot. Even if we would have traded his ass somewhere last year (for half the year) he could have opted out and signed with Jersey outright this offseason.

He's soft. Period.

I guarantee he's still got family telling him Orlando's the perfect place for him and his kids .. yet his entourage and/or agency are tryna get that extra big market money.

If dude wasn't a desperate to be liked p*ssy he would be a free agent right now and could just sign with the Nets. His advisors are ass

Dwight should have stayed his mouth shut, sign to the Nets as a free agent, D-Will would have stayed with them, the nets should have never traded their pick though

1. D- Will
2. Marshan Brooks
3. 2012 Draft pick
4. Brook Lopez (move him to the 4)
5. Dwight Howard

that team could've made some noise

:snoop: at Dwight. He cant' be this stupid. I refuse to believe this nikka is so fukking stupid that he would sign an extension just to demand a trade 4 months later.

:snoop: :snoop: at the Nets for trading their first round pick for Gerald Wallace in the last year of his contract.

At some point one of thse teams has to grow some balls and tell one of these guys "Either you are staying here or you are taking money to go elsewhere, period." Dumbass teams keep obliging these nikkas and people wonder why nikkas keep doing the shyt. It's better to lose a guy for nothing a get cap room and hopefully a high pick than it is to accept a bunch of shyt back and get stuck in purgatory. Only time it worked out of the trading team was when Denver traded Melo and that's because the Knicks gutted their fukking roster like idiots instead of waiting until the summer when he could sign outright. I swear I don't know what the fukk some of these GMs are thinking.

dwight would have to literally strong arm his way to the nets and only if a team wont be hard headed ala sacremento with chris webber and still trade for him and take the 1 year rental.

the nets killed they shot when they struck out in the draft. ive seen crazier sh1t happens but it looks dim.

he NOT an idiot -he fully understands what lebron understood
u ain't gonna get NO big time free agents to come to ORL

y'all media asked dwill when the nets came in
"u & dwight had dinner here in ORL last night"
"can u tell us media what did y'all talk about"
"would u consider coming down here via free agent this off season" :dwillhuh:

I think the conversations would be a lot different if Dwight were locked in and Orlando had tradable assets or cap flexibility. They just haven't been a realistic destination for any above-mid-level free agent in years.

Dawg, first off that dinner with deron was when your nets came to Orlando for a regular season game and got mollywhopped. They've been doin dinner for years (they've both said this much)

Secondly, why do u keep saying Orlando can't attract big time free agents? We got the weather. No state taxes. Fly women. An owner with deeeeeep pockets. We're pretty much everything jersey/Brooklyn ain't. (Other than the owner part) We've gotten free agents in the past and we'll continue to do so.

And even tho there's no.way to prove it, I'd he willing to bet Deron would be more willing to sign with Orlando long term as opposed to resigning with the nets without Dwight coming aboard.
