I actually think Dwight has become underrated now. As long as he's on the court he can still be valuable. I think he just needs to go to a team with strong leadership in place.
Dwight doesn't want to be led. He wants to be "the man" but he doesn't know how to be and doesn't want to be told how to be the man.

Bean Gawd showed us this.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

Considering it looks like the Heat will lose Whiteside either way
:yeshrug:

Side note- is there any deal from Miami that NY would take for Melo that wouldn't need to include Winslow?
Something like this NBA Trade Machine - ESPN which would give them cap space (especially if they would find a separate deal to get rid of Lopez and/or Calderon) and about a 2 1/2 month jump on recruiting Hassan.

There's no way New York even considers a deal without winslow

Dwight is such a toxic player. A big man who doesn't care about dominating. He's a better version of Andrew Bynum.

Dwight can still make an impact on a team who needs a defensive anchor who can score a little bit and who will get you double figure rebounds. But his days of being the man are over and he needs to come to terms with that. Only then would I trade for him if I were a team who was looking to make a big move. And I wouldn't give away an extreme amount to get him either.

You gotta give up something. Morey ain't gonna give away for nothing. At worst he stays on the team next year by not opting out but he won't be here the year after most likely at least not for the max. So Morey doesn't have to give him away for cheap he can get an asset and another role player back for him.
