Wiggins is the third option at the moment and should probably focus more on defense as well, considering he's one of the worst in the league

Then the Wolves wont make the playoffs. Butler is the one who should be the third option focusing on defense.

Wolves only win if Wiggins is the #1 option. He's their best offensive player BY FAR.

Was surprised by this too. Looked like any time he touched the ball he made a good play.

It was the same way in their 3 preseason games. He's improved a lot this year. Especially as a 3-point shooter.

Jimmy Butler has been the problem. He's been an ineffective ball-hog. While Towns has been terrible defensively.

Right now, the Wolves biggest 2 problems are Butler and Towns. Butler cause he's dominating the ball too much on offense and Towns because he's a terrible defensive player. And having your center be terrible defensively means you'll be terrible overall defensively.

Here's what I posted in the NBA thread last night: "Thibs completely fukked the wolves up this offseason. a bunch of selfish players and a passive star in wiggins. gave away by far your best shooting threat who doesn't need the ball to score. lavine could put up 20-22 a game just like klay just moving off ball, none of the rest of these guys can do that. their problem last year was learning defense, wiggins/lavine having their 3rd coach in 3 years, dieng starting, bjelica sucking, and otherwise having zero bench contribution save for the rare hot game from bazz."

this team is just constructed incredibly poorly with no offensive flow, guidance, or hierarchy. wiggins and butler are redundant as fukk except that butler is by far more selfish/ballhoggy which is saying alot on this team full of ballhogs also including towns and teague. lavine is a significantly better fit next to either wiggins or butler compared to the 2 of them together. they should've kept lavine and let him and town be options 1a/1b on offense while allowing wiggins or butler to focus on perimeter defense and being option 2 offensively while the team as whole continues to learn thibs defense.

People kept saying Rubio's offense was the problem, but they still have the same issues that they had when Rubio was there. Rubio is a better passer and defensive player than Teague and Teague isnt even that much better shooter than Rubio. Not good enough anyway.

KAT has all the tools to be atleast a good defensive player and a great offensive player, yet he isnt. Same goes for Wiggins.

T'Wolves still should make the playoffs just cause of Butler addition and because KAT and Wiggins should be good enough on offense now. But then again it's still the Western Conference and they still kinda need better shooters (plus Butler cant be the only one playing defense)

Thibs isn't a bad coach, he is one of the greatest coaches in NBA history. He's the man behind the '08 Celtics and '11 Bulls defensively, and has coached other great defenses like the '99 Knicks and '07 Rockets. He is a great defensive mind, and a lot of his defensive principles the loading of the strong side, the zones, forcing the long two that was copied throughout the league. The problem is that the league has responded to those defensive principles with the P&R and three point implosion you see today. Offensively he doesn't bring much the table though, that's for certain but he's proven that he can lead his teams to grind victories even when D-Rose was injured in Chicago.

Butler was a terrible acquisition to me, because he and Wiggins are redundant. Just a classic case of Thibs going after his guy, instead of team fit. Wiggins and LaVine had a legit case for G.O.A.T. athletic wing tandem. Team is just a bad fit with four ball dominant players in the starting rotation. If they kept Markannen and LaVine they'd have two 40% 3PT shooters in the starting 5. I have to see how they maneuver through this season.

Wiggins is way better than Butler. But you are right on everything else. Should have never traded for that scrub.

They were better off doing what I said in the off-season. Sign George Hill, Danilo Galanari, and Javale McGee. Keep LaVine and draft Markannen.

This lineup is better than what they have right now:

PG - George Hill/Tyus Jones
SG - Andrew Wiggins/Zach LaVine
SF - Danilo Galanari/Shabazz Muhammad
PF - Karl-Anthony Towns/Nemanja Bjelica
C - JaVale McGee/Gorgui Dieng

This lineup wins 45-50 games.

:mjlol: @ Lavine coming off the bench

You nikkas do this every year its the 2nd fukking game :mjlol:

With that said that team was horribly constructed. Jimmy and Wiggins play too similar. Plus they need a pass first pg should've kept Rubio
