This is what he did in crunch time tonight.

I wish he would be this aggressive the whole game. In the 4th quarter and OT he was a man possessed. He was the #1 option that the offense was running through. Jimmy Butler and Karl Anthony-Towns were reduced to spot up shooters standing in the corner as Wiggins put in work. Andrew looked like a young Kobe in the 4th. I just wish he would do this for the entire game rather than waiting till the 4th quarter.

Because for the first 3 quarters he just acts like a role player. He waits in a corner as Butler, Towns, and Teague dominate the possession. Then in the 4th when they need the win, he starts dominating the ball like he's Kobe.

Someone needs to tell Andrew Wiggins that he's the best player on the Timberwolves (by far) and that he needs to demand the ball for all 4 quarters rather than waiting till crunch time to assert himself and save the day.

Motivated Andrew Wiggins = the closest thing we've seen to Kobe Bryant

Detroit
Teague is gonna be the most important piece this season.

If he plays how he did tonight or close to it every night, this team gonna be a problem

Co-sign. He needs to be the PG not Butler dribbling around all day. And Wiggins needs to be more assertive early. He can't just wait for the 4th quarter to turn into Kobe.

Its mind boggling at times , he looks like prime Rudy Gay and at times looks like he should/could be a premier wing in the league. I agree , he needs to be more aggressive and assert himself more. Though his J isnt automatic, its not completely broken.

Stop trying to take credit for Wiggins having a good quarter.

:mjlol:

You stay trying to big up the any player who attacks the rim as "the next Kobe"

Are you Mark?

No. I just agreed 100% with his sentiment.

Wiggins is frustrating to watch. He's got the ability to be another Kobe. And shows glimpses of it in the 4th quarter and OT of close games. But yet for some reason he chooses to be like JR Smith the first 3 quarters. He acts like a role player standing in the corner as Butler, Towns, and Teague take turns going one on one.

He needs to realize he can dominate ALL 4 quarters like he dominates in crunch time. He's a great waste of talent right now.

His J is fine. Its his handle that still needs refinement but he has improved it tremendously since he entered the league.

His problems are not physical. They are entirely mental. He seems to have a very nonchalant attitude when playing the game. Like he's almost disinterested. Then he has moments like tonight when he turns it on and looks like a young Kobe.

I think playing with an aggressive scorer like Towns hurts him. His personality is not that of an alpha male. So he's okay with less talented players dominating the ball over him. He only ever looks for the ball in the 4th quarter of close games. Wish he would take it on himself to be dominant for the first 3 quarters as well so that his team doesn't have to play all these close games.

The "man possessed" in the 4th was 2-4 in that quarter and 0-1 in OT; 7-23 for the game. Great timing on this thread.

This is why you gotta watch the games. Wiggins sat out the start of the 4th. He only came in with about 5 minutes left in the game. And if you watched the game you would know he drew a lot of fouls late. And he was the one with the ball in his hands for most of those last 5 minutes and OT. The Wolves were running plays mostly for him down the stretch with Butler and Towns just providing spacing.

I'm talking more about how he dominated possession and made game-winning plays down the stretch moreso than how many shots he took or points he scored.
