It is a vicious cycle, but a lot of it is predicated on ego.
With the exception of hoodrats that lacked quality parenting, these girls are told from day one to deal with guys that respect them and make them work for their affection. But then their ego takes over and they shoot for the stars when it comes to men. They get played by these guys, but they had no business dealing with them in the first place. Back in the 80's and 90's, women understood that was part of the learning process and vented here and there but there was no expectation for men to be sympathetic about it. It was also understood that getting played was something that happened in the late teens early 20's, and by the time you hit 25 you adjusted your expectations and deal with guys that were really trying to go somewhere with you.
Nowadays, everybody is victim, and a lot of women aren't taking accountability in this. They are 30-35 years old still crying about being dogged out. At a certain point you gotta realize that your ego is making your dating decisions and you can't keep blaming men when it's really your poor judgement. Some men are not going to do the "right" thing. This is understood from day 1, and you strategize with that as a factor. But no, "Men ain't sh*t" and I want to wallow in pity, instead of finding the guy that would take a bullet for me (because he's not as sexy as the guy who's gonna dog me out).

Second I have seen it from both men and women. I've seen males as you'd as 15 look for ways to finesse women and get the oanties out of them. There are books upon books for men to do that. There are men who go out of their way to deceive a woman who has a good heart and wants a good relationship. Plays the time and then abandons her when he gets what he wants. The same can be said about women. I've been around females who laugh about getting bills paid, shoes, handbags, shopping trips, money, clothes, favors, and etc out of a men who thinks he is their one and only. There are also books to teaching women how to game a man out of his money, suck him dry, and then bounce without ever giving up the cooch.
Do I believe that getting dogged out is something everyone must go through ? No not at all, but it does make you smarter. One thing I will say is that both men and women need to pay attention to signs and not ignore them. Stop making excuses for people who do not care for you. I feel bad for anyone who truly loved and cared for someone then got dogged out. I hope the young woman in the video learns where she went wrong and knows what to look out for next time.
