I will say this as a man who has been married over 29 years. You always must maintain your self-respect. It does not matter who the person is, even if it is family or friend. So, in the case of relationships, the other person must always be aware that you will leave if that line is crossed. It is simple as that. The door is always open as an EXIT.

I need more context to why she said that. Just by the small piece of info we got she’s seems down for him. Especially acknowledging she said some messed up shyt.
Usually when a woman that’s down for her man( I.e using the car for work and who knows what else) look to cut deep when they feel undervalued or disregarded and the fustration just spills over.
Sometimes when men get knocked down especially losing our source to provide we, unintentionally take our aggravation out on those closest us(mainly a spouse). Not to give her pass but, as a man you have to damn near keep up a super hero type image like you are always able to take bullets in stride.
A large majority of women don’t have the capacity to navigate with man going through his struggles. They say can until shyt really hits the fan, then this type of shyt happens.
