Great question.

Initially, we aligned on our Christian values, and wanted the same things at that point in our life, namely marriage and children.

I thought she had a great personality, very caring, low maintenance. She is also a great mother.
The main issue was that it wasn't consistent, and when it wasn't consistent, it was very, very bad. It would also get progressively worse.
This was a pattern that appeared year after year, but I would give grace and forgive. I didn't realize until after 10 years of marriage that I enabled this behavior by not setting boundaries early on.
