Hopewell, N.Y. (WHAM) — A convicted rapist from Ontario County allegedly hired a hitman to kill three people who sent him to jail.
A jury convicted Alexander Kise, 21, of Canandaigua, of rape and other charges March 15, after prosecutors said he held a victim captive for two days, sexually assaulted, injured and threatened her in June 2022.

Now, Kise is accused of attempting to have multiple people involved in his rape trial murdered.
"There was actually very affirmative actions taken on behalf of Alexander Kise by his girlfriend and others," Assistant District Attorney Kelly Wolford said. "There is a juvenile who is charged in this case also to take the life of a judge and there was plans to take the life of an assistant district attorney and a person who testified in his original trial."
While being incarcerated at the Ontario County Jail, Kise directed his girlfriend, Alydia Gater, to hire a hitman to kill the judge in exchange for Xanax pills, according to court paperwork.
Investigators said that hitman was actually an undercover New York State Police investigator.
Wolford said the plan was to have the hitman shoot the judge.
"The pills were used to finance the murder for hire, so they had given the pills as down payment for the murder for the judge," she said.
