The idea that a Federal government unionized employee getting fired after one phone call is absurd as well.
But since she's basically in the private sector, It would make more sense that she was let go.
All federal employees aren't unionized.
On top of that, there are certain actions that are directly cause for termination in the GS system.
Failed drug tests, depending on the level of your position can be one, purposely leaking pii, phi, and classified information is another.
I don’t particularly like Tariq but if anyone is using their position to access private information on a citizen for the purpose of making it public than that is worthy of termination..

A longtime employee of the bipartisan organization The National Conference of State Legislatures, has been accused of maliciously leaking sensitive information of a private citizen to social media platforms.
Bakara Johnson, 56, of Washington DC posted several sensitive documents that contained the tax info, financial records, and partial social security number of filmmaker Tariq Nasheed to her twitter page, during the first week of January 2020.
It is speculated that this private info could only be accessed through internet servers from government or federally affiliated facilities, such as NCSL, Johnson’s place of employment.
Bakara Johnson is also affiliated with the intersectional LGBT organization ADOS, a group that has been targeting and harassing Tariq Nasheed for the last two months. The ADOS group has a reputation of getting into online conflicts with several media personalities. It is assumed that her malicious postings of Tariq Nasheed’s private information, was done on the behalf of the ADOS organization.
There is currently an internal investigation by the NCSL on Bakara Johnson’s activities. According to certain sources, it is suspected that Johnson is no longer employed by NCSL because of these allegations. Her voicemail has been removed from the NCSL call system, and her name is no longer in the company directory.

Yeah but she had an admin position (again she didn't work for the government) If she was in law enforcement or intelligence or some type of sensitive position yes the rules are difference but usually those aren't GS positions But besides that nobody goes into government thinking they're gonna make a great amount of money, they go in for Job security. That's the culture of all federal jobs. Someone fukks up and it doesn't make the news sure the boss can fire you but maybe he won't.
This is all speculation but if she was a federal employee and they tried to fire her she'd file appeals, run to Blacks in Government file a congressional inquiry, claim discrimination etc. At the minimum it would take about 90 days to fire her. But again since she's not a federal employee none of this matters.
While I don't think that what she posted was illegal, She shouldn't have gotten involved, In a way this is a bad look for Tariq not just because of the optics of him getting a chick fired it's because there's Black women with cool little jobs that don't like him. Maybe she was emotional but if you're famous and (some) Black women don't like you maybe it makes sense to live in a white community, shyt maybe the lady at the DMV would put down Trans on his license by mistake or his postmates delivery chick would spit in his food.

Yes and those are Law enforcement and intel positions. They have a higher level of ethics because they have greater levels of access to information.
That being said did you know that no FBI agent has been accused of a bad shoot? They killed a suspect in the Boston Bombings in Florida but no one was fired. The good ol' boys system trumps all.
This has nothing to do with Ms. Johnson's situation because she wasn't a fed and she posted information that other non federal people found and posted.

I know. Its annoying when you're being constantly disparaged by a group on completely fabricated and bigoted basis. ADOS is no more an LGBT group than black immigrants are willing proxies of white supremacy working towards the downfall of multi-generational black Americans.
