I dont care for Rap anymore because I can see it has turned people into fools and zombies..

There are probably hundreds of thousands of young intelligent Brothers and Sisters out there seriously fighting to be one of only 10 rappers the public can tolerate at one time.
They are better off just buying a lottery ticket..

True but it's better to be safe than sorry or have a backup plan. If someone is really dedicated, they'll still keep pushing regardless of whatever happens. Jobs, kids, family and etc. Kevin hart is an example of that shyt. He didn't blow up until he was almost 40.

True. I could have at least moved to Atlanta... I didn't even do that lol. I got comfortable and risk adverse. I think alot of folks success had to do with then believing in themselves and not letting doubt creep into their subconscious. Because it's easy to do especially if you have family who want to protect you.

There are so many industries in which they are hardly any black people but yet we have a surplus of aspiring rappers and athletes.
Being a rapper and being able to create consistent hits is hard as people are just sold on the music video lifestyle. But the entertainment industry from a numbers perspective is a different ballgame

It aint all that dramatic...if you have the creditials, wherewithal, and connections to grip a 80k job once you can do it again....eventually at least

And i know its not likely to be a walk in the park to get another one of that caliber yadda yadda, spare me....her platform is obviously set she just decided to play around. And if you have the means to do so, really, why not? Shell be str8

The sleepless city
At least she only has herself to care for, and there's no kids involved... why do you miserable people care so much.

Not having to struggle doesn't always mean happiness, just as struggling doesn't always equate to unhappiness.

In the end we all have the same destination, so how we go through the journey should be of no concern if we're not hurting anyone in the process.

True. She should still go for her dreams but chase after them wisely.

to be fair, I'm pretty sure she didn't quit her job to become a rapper

she quit her job and hiphop just so happened to be one of her hobbies that she probably had more time for since she was no longer confined to a 9-5

Everybody ain't built for clocking in day and night and slaving away for another person

even if it's 80k a year, when you realize our time is finite you realize freedom to do as you please is more important than money you won't be able to take with you when you're gone.

Poverty takes away all freedom breh, at least with money you can make moves and have the capital to do so. Now she will literally be a SLAVE TO HER CIRCUMSTANCES.

Smh this story is depressing.
