Nothing wrong with steak sauce for cheaper steaks.

But if you're shelling out top dollar for some expensive cut then it should be tender and flavorful enough that you shouldn't need it. And a lot of people would see it as a waste of an expensive cut of steak if you're going to drown out the taste with steak sauce.
