to women, Black and Latino borrowers hold a substantially higher volume of debt in 2019
than in 2009. Black borrowers as a whole, in particular, saw their balance rise every single
year until 2020, when their outstanding balance represented 162 percent of their 2009
balance. By contrast, white borrowers made some progress and by 2020 owed 90 percent
of their 2009 balance. For Black and Latino borrowers, it was only after the pause that
some progress was visible: reversing it, especially without debt relief, will likely mean a
return to widening racial inequality.

Also if you read the next chart it also mentions that Black males and females hold a higher loan balance than their original loan amount than any other race so the data you presented doesn't concern Black males...it's talking about white males. So again why are you presenting WS/incel talking points as an attack on black women? You're using data talking about white men as a way to try to big yourself up when the data doesn't even factor you in. Unless you're a CAC or you're one of those ones that's just happy for wyte acceptance and want that good old pat on the head.

Women should probably expect to pay back their debt regardless of their career path, instead of hoping for a "rich man" to come save her.

I just read the bill. It's insanely stupid . You could tell it was crafted by people who don't know anything about the industries they're trying to regulate.


It guarantees a perpetual shortage in medical providers, vet providers, pharmacy providers, psych providers ,and dental providers due to the cap on loan amounts. All of these extremely needed programs cost more than the 150k loan cap.


It may very well be the end of primary care, because pediatricians and family med doctors Don't make enough money to cover private loan tuition and they were banking on the ease of accessing govt loan repayment options. It will lead to a weird situation where the only people going to these key programs will be super specialists .
