Women have have mother in laws and father in laws and they will treat them like daughters.
But men can't in most relationships, or am I wrong?

To me the girl's father and mother will ALWAYS take their side and never yours, so they never really treat you like their own like a girl's in laws can

No matter what the girl's parents will mostly alwasy think she right and the man is wrong.

There's a tacit acceptance that comes with a wife giving the elders grandchildren. If the woman in question is just an SO or wife-pre-grandchildren status, it's more of an armed truce with UN inspectors to keep an eye on things.
