Why is rage their first emotion/action to go to when inquiring about this in the first place, should be trying to understand and remedy it.

What black country can I go to today that was built by white slave labor and live as good as white people do off of black slavery in America? Name one. Their system of slavery resulted in the richest and most powerful nation on this earth today Black man's system of slavery resulted in what that is of use today? History books that most black People are never goin read? And you compare the two?

You just tried to prove to me that White people were not being enslaved and hauled away in chains. I just proved you wrong. So instead of disputing that you come to your next argument. O.K. I will satisfy you. Egypt and Morocco were African nations that used White slave labor and became rich.

Secondly, not all of the slave nations stayed rich. Morocco, Egypt, Portugal and Spain did not stay as wealthy as the English even though the former nations took a whole lot more slaves. The reason that the English and later on the Americans were more successful is that they took specific groups of slaves that were highly skilled in their own homelands. A lot of specific groups of slaves (Mande people, Kongo, Angola and Fulani). The Fulani were experts with cattle (hence the term cowboys) and the Manidgos were outstanding farmers (cotton, indigo, rice) and blacksmiths additionally the Mandingo and Fulani were literate people, which allowed them to do stuff like bookkeeping and slave driving. Many inventions during that period in the USA that have been attributed to White people were more likely from the Black slaves, because most White people during that period were by and large illiterate.

Another thing is that most American music is entirely from the slaves; as they are the ones that brought the Banjo and Blues music from the Sahel. Just so you know it; it was at the behest of White people (slave owners) that the slaves eventually became illiterate; because the slaves from the Sahel's Kingdom of Mali were not illiterate when they came to the Americas. The fact that Black people now days don't know about their ancestors is Black people's own fault, because White people, for all of their faults; acknowledge everything that I just wrote about the slaves.

How about the multitude of Black men that do find Black women as the standard of beauty?

That is the only fault that I find with some Black men and women. We are constantly trying to gain approval from people that don't matter; yet we consistently ignore the approval of people that do matter. Black men are always jocking on Black women, but a lot of Black women seem to want and need the approval of White people.
This is so true. It never ceases to amaze me how people forget that the vast majority of people prefer to be with members of their own race. One little article or even seeing one mixed race couple outside out and about skews their whole view on life. It's amazing.

This starts at home. Too many of us grow up with twisted perspectives about the opposite sex in the black race because of what we see in the household.

Your mama been saying "black men ain't shyt" every day since you were 5, what should I reasonably expect you to think about black men?

Your deadbeat daddy left before you were born and now it's been a carousel of men in your childhood. What should I reasonably expect you to think about the value of black women?

Don't even get me started about stereotypes presented in the media, but I believe that can be curbed to an extent if you have positive role models at home displaying how black love should work.

Really sad actually. As far as this board and LSA go. I see a lot of hypocrisy on both sides :sas2:

This is very real. Stereotypes in the media have a hand but positive experiences go a long long way. People forget that you have to be a positive role model for children. Or else.....can't complain about a stereotype if you break your neck to fulfill them.

I think you keep diverting from the point Black women read about black slavery in school they leave school when it gets out and see the results of that black slavery today. White men controlling the economic system, the judicial system and the School system. You tell me whites were enslaved by black people where can a black person go where white slavery has built black people a country on par with America? Where there's a such thing as black privilege or black supremacy? Morroco? Egypt? The leaders of those countries don't look like any black men I've ever seen. Black people enslaved white people in order to build countries for non-black arabs? Then you bring up music? Who do you think run the record labels? Not black people. Black people are just the performers the higher up the ladder the less black people you see.
White people's system of slavery resulted in the most powerful country in the world. You counter that with things that are either now controlled by non-black arabs and white people (music industry, Egypt and Morocco) or things that you can only see in history books. Those things don't compare to America, France, England, Belgium the Netherlands, Brasil, etc etc which were all built in part byslave labor from black people being controlled by white men.

Black women: White women have jobs, the most powerful army in the world protecting them, a media that makes them considered the most beautiful women in the world. They're the richest and most powerful group of women on the planet. What can you provide for me black man?

Black men: Well I can give you these history books that talk about when we were great.

Black women: :mjcry:

They don't look anything like Black people, because they have been mixing with those White slave women. Hell a lot of current Black Americans don't look anything like the Africans that boarded those slave ships in Africa.

Everything else you wrote go back to intellectual laziness on the part of current Black women and Black men too. That intellectual laziness feeds back into their feelings of self worth. Think about it. Those women were told that their ancestors were savages; and witch doctors and had bones in their noses. Yada, yada, yada. That is what the ignorant unlearned White sailors; slave traders and diabolical missionaries told the Europeans to justify slavery; and those people kept who repeating that nonsense over and over until they actually believed that stupid shyt.

How many of those Black women and Black men do you think would be surprised to actually learn that their ancestors were actually Muslims and Catholics; and quite a few were educated people that were medical doctors, lawyers and teachers? The same Black people take the time to learn about the English and French and London and Paris; then they should stop being intellectually lazy and learn about their own ethnic groups and the lands of their ancestors.

They don't learn about England,France etc out of interest. They learn it cause white people force them to in school. Black men don't control the education system and therefore lack the power to force black people to learn these things. Every problem you bring up goes back to the lack of power black men possess which is why black women don't respect black men. Which is why the genders don't get along. They have countries we have history books that the majority will never read.

We don't hardly learn anything about France in the USA. Hell most people that attend school (public and private) in the USA; could not even tell you a thing about the Louisiana Purchase; or what events caused France to sale the land to the USA (hint: the slave revolt in Haiti). That event right there shows that Black people were not docile in slavery and they scared the shyt out of White people.

Black women and men spend a lot of time learning about England and France, because they want to know about England and France. They are intellectually lazy when it comes to their own ancestors. Mention Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea or the Ivory Coast history; or the Mane Invasion, which was the Mande people expanding outwards from the Kingdom of Mali into modern day Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea and there is no much intellectual curiosity. Mind you now that Mane invasion would explain a lot about how their ancestors (the Mandingoes) were ultimately where they were when they were later captured in the slave trade and taken to the Americas.

A couple of points. It was inappropriate for the teacher to be interrogating the black boys about their dating preferences. But you can't save everyone its something these young kids have to learn by experience. But the problem I had with the letter the teacher wrote was where she said the black boys would make fun of the black girls that did like them and ripped up a love letter a black girl sent one of them. Which I think is really the issue, just because your not attracted to someone doesnt give you the right to make fun of them and embarrass them for expressing their attraction to you. Its the same as a chick publicly humiliating a dude after he asked her out in public.
